One of the things I've been doing this month is interning for Glamhive. Glamhive is a fashion community that rewards you for shopping and sharing OOTDs... pretty major! Anyways, I wanted to share a quick post about where to find internships.

Goodbye Concrete Jungle
OK. FINE. I've only finished one year of college but give me a break... everything needs a dramatic exit. Goodbye Upper West Side? No.. I'll probably be living here next school year. Goodbye New York? Yes.. If there is one thing I'm ready to say goodbye to, it's New York. Yes. It's true.. I am so completely, utterly, sick of New York! My fingers are crossed that when September rolls around, I'll be ready for the concrete jungle, but honestly... I'm not sure.

read this and smile
"This semester was hard.
It’s been rewarding, draining, frustrating, magical, fun, full of adventure and just outright annoying. But it’s also been an actual life. I’m so thankful I can smile, cry, laugh, exercise, not exercise, impersonate Miranda Sings, hate myself, dance around in a bikini, be disappointed, eat cookies for lunch, get an A, get an F, be completely mediocre and still treat myself well at the end of the day."

What Makes A Bestfriend?
Meet New Yorks quirkiest friends- Italian Isotta meets half-Parisian, half-crazy Ella. So, what makes us perfect partners in crime?
Isotta: There is no definition of a good friend... it's about someone who listens, makes you feel special, and stays beside you even when you're not at your best. You share some interests but don't have the same passions. Someone that inspires you to do something better and bigger.
Ella: Someone who makes you feel like being 100% you. You can be crazy, sad, annoying and even a little bratty around them because they'll still love you tomorrow. Someone that guides you in the right direction, respects your journey and knows your flaws. When I saw "someone", I mean Isotta lol.

How To Style The Bomber Jacket
This is, without a doubt, my favorite trend of the moment. It's so "cool girl" chic. Take a look at the runways of Alexander Wang, Tibi and Chloe for their haute couture take on this wardrobe staple. When it comes to street fashion, Gigi Hadid is pretty much Queen B(omber).
I like to wear this piece on my way to a workout class, to casual lunches, and to the movies. Those are the only things I do, so you can pretty much always find me in a bomber jacket. How would you wear this trend?

What It's Like to Be Vegan
How long I've been vegan: exactly 10 months today :)
Why I became vegan: originally for my health... currently for my health, the animals and the environment
Favorite vegan food: dates, pesto pasta, tirasumi and peanut butter anything
Favorite vegan beauty brand: Urban Decay, Tarte and Nars
Must-reads, vegan edition: Happy Healthy Herbivore is my favorite fat-free cookbook.
Best vegan spots in NYC: I mostly eat a low fat diet avoiding oil, nuts and seeds because it helps my skin and helps maintain my weight. However, once a week I'll stop by Candle West Cafe or byCHLOE for a treat. I also like the muffins at Juice Generation.

Style Forecast: Oxfords
Why do I love wearing oxfords so much? Simple answer - they create the perfect mix between looking fashion forward and looking sophisticated. Any time my outfit needs a little extra love, oxfords are my go-to because they can take an outfit from minimalistic to compliment-worthy!

Imperfect Parisian
My first morning waking up in Paris looked a little like this!
9:30 am: wake up call to avoid jet lag
10:30 am: dream breakfast of overnight oats with sliced banana
12:00 am: stroll in Jardin du Luxembourg with my favorite dog

P A R I S
I'M BACK IN PARIS! I SMILED THE SECOND I GOT OFF THE PLANE. IT'S ANOTHER WORLD OVER HERE. DRIVING TO MY APARTMENT AND LOOKING AT THE FASHION, ARCHITECTURE AND CAFES MADE ME FEEL AT HOME.

M ☕️ N D A Y S
Mondays... what to say? For me, monday is this "BOOM" wake up call that hits after a weekend of pure bliss and zero responsibility. Somehow, I always manage to leave my life a total mess on Friday. I guess because I leave Manhattan every Friday in escape to the countryside, I literally put my city life on hold for 72 hours. Hopefully this explains why returning on monday, to a mildly explosive state of life, is startling.
Mondays have become a "catch up" day where I organize my once neat closet that I destroyed during the week and do last weeks laundry I left to "clean itself". I'm ultimately welcomed home with no groceries and a serious state of disorder.
So let's be real? Is it time to change my routine? Instead of running from my messy Manhattan studio (I live in a college dorm but why not pretend?), should I leave the city a little more put together before I make my 3-day move to the country?

International Woman's Day
What this day means to me:
1. It's a recognized day for the movement to empower woman.
2. It reminds me how proud I am to be a wise and expansive feminine soul.
3. It's give me a reason to celebrate.
4. It inspires me to empower other woman
5. It makes me feel bigger than myself.

La Mode: Windy
It's the weekend. What else needs to be said? This photo was snapped yesterday after visiting the Union Square farmers market. Fridays are my favorite care-free days to explore the city and totally space out after the week. Saturday and Sunday are a little more busy bee for me since I have to do my homework and other to-dos. Where are your weekends like?

Food For Thought
I am having such a nostalgic sunday morning. I'm looking back at life in Paris and really, really missing my life. Every weekend was an adventure, every smile was genuine and everyday was a chance to learn more french. Is it wrong to want to give up on New York? Maybe I'm being too "the grass is green on the other side"? Hope everyone reading this has a lovely sunday. XO, E

Redlip Runway: Michael Kors Fall 2016
As a global brand, I low-key hate Michael Kors. #sorrynotsorry I think the bags are tacky, the craftsmanship is questionable and the decision to favor mass production over quality and creativity is apparent. But, and there is always a "but" in this industry, I love Kors as a runway designer. His runway absolutely stole the show at #NYFW and I can't wait to see more from him. XO, E

Fashion is my Faith
As crazy as this might sound, I think fashion is my faith. Here I am: sitting in class wearing leggings, a white tee and a lululemon jacket. I've also topped on an enormous Zara scarf to cover my makeupless face and messy hair. What image just popped in your head? What does my outfit say? "I'm tired and my to-do list is the size of the Louis Vuitton duffel I don't have. I also didn't want to get out of bed because it's a gloomy tuesday."
When I wake up in the morning, the difference between throwing together layers of cotton (like today) or wearing an outfit that I neatly styled the night before is major. The relationship between my energy and what I wear is so real. I wake up in the morning and live because of the things important to me: my family, my blog/youtube channel, my internship and my figure skating (to name a few). But, my outfit, my uniform, my armor in a sometimes rough world, is also what keeps me going.

Dress Big
Madison (my friend): I feel like being here in New York, I got so accustomed to "campus style" and dressing like the other students. I miss my eclectic, vintage style.
Ella: Wowwww! I love that.
Madison: I want my stylistic individuality back!!
